Hi

I want to know how to control access to various private newsgroups that we
are hosting on Windows 2000 and IIS5. Access will be from the Internet.
Clients are using OE.
I have created a server account that remote user needs to enter. I have also
set permissions on the folder that contains these newsgroups. But this does
not work.
Can someone point me to any documentation that explains and shows step by
step on how to do this.
We will have other newsgroups that will also need restrictions to particular
users.

Thanks

a) you can configure authentication,
b) further restrict via NTFS permission
c) configure IP / domain restriction
