Author smtp logging - timestamp

I am running iis 5/smtp on Windows 2000 on several different servers. For
some reason the timestamp that gets associated with outbound email in the
log is about 4 hours fast on all servers. I have checked the local
time/timezone and the clients and servers and they are all correct (EST),
any thoughts?

If you are using W3C Extended logging, then the time is always GMT - that is
part of the specification. It also avoids problems if you use daylight
savings, since your logfiles don't suddenly "go back an hour" when you
switch over.

Your log analysis software should be able to compensentate for the
difference.

Cheers
