| SBS2003 with exchange & using the standard POP3 connector to retrieve mail.
Installed a website on IIS, got blown away with spam and deleted website.
Since that I am having problems with exchange - it seems to gets the emails
from the POP3 connector but they do not appear in the users mailbox.
Clients can log on to exchange and view pre existing emails, they can send
email but no new mail is delivered.
The Public Mail folder does not mount at boot up, and I was getting an
error in event log which pointed that out to me.
There are no other errors in event log which points me in any direction.
SMTP is installed under the IIS dialog in "Add/Remove Programs" but
according to many of the help files that I have read, when I browse to the
IIS Management Consol and expand the server name, I should see a SMTP folder
there along with FTP, Websites etc...
Well, there is no SMTP folder there ( Under IIS )
There is "Default SMTP virtual server" folder present in the Exchange
Management Console.
Any pointer appreciated - our office has no email and are looking at me !!
