Hi,

REALLY dumb question...

How would I go about creating a public folder that
external people can send email to? Specifically, I want
to create a support folder which I want people to email
to, such as support@xyz.com. Obviously, I want the email
that comes into exchange to route this email to that
public folder.

Thanks for the help

Dear Bil,

Create a public folder using outlook or what ever. Go to public folder and select new folder "e-mail items"; be sure to disable the hide from exchange feature using the Exchange System Manager on your exchange server.
(Administrative groups, first administrative group, folders, public folders, select the apropriate folder and go to the properties. Go to the tab "Exchange advanced" there deselect the Hide from Exchange adress lists").

Next you go to Administrative groups, first administrative group, routing groups, first routing group, connectors, connector for pop3 mailboxes. Select properties, go to tab ""user mailboxes" there you can add the pop.box form your support desk and at th
e bottom the "mailbox" to deliver the messages to. Be sure to specify the schedule on "connect and download" tab.
If you use Bsmtp you do not have to set the last part.
