| I have the POP3/SMTP services on my Windows 2003 server, and it has a habit
of always rejecting the password for my accounts on it. There are only 2
(it's a personal server.) But for whatever reason, it won't let me sign in
even though the password is indeed correct. Sometimes a reboot will do the
trick, but this time it hasn't worked through a couple of reboots.
Here's the error message I get from Outlook Express:
There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was
rejected. Account:' XXXXXXXXX', Server: 'XXXXXXXXXXX.net', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR Logon Failure', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92
I don't understand why i don't always get this, but can't clear up the
problem.
