IIS and SMTP - SMTP Slowdown

Hello,
I have a Win 2003 Web edition server running IIS6.0.
I have SMTP installed.
I want to send a form from a Frontpage Web site on this server. It sends the e-mail BUT will really slow down the server and any pages as well as my Remote Desktop access.
What other alternatives to SMTP do I have for sending a simple form results to an e-mail address. This would be to one single e-mail address.
