The SMTP server will accept any message addressed to the domains that it is
authorized to accept mail for. So depending on the maximum length allowed
for a user name, it is probably unlimited for practical purposes. Is that
the question or were you asking about the maximum receipients allowed in a
message?

| No this was more in regards to a formula for determining the max number of
recipients depending on disk considerations and messages size limits. In
other words is can I that I have 15gig of free space on my mail root drive
and I have a message limit set at 10Mb I should only limit the number of
recipients to 200 addresses.

| It doesn't work that way. AFAIK, you can contorl the limit of number
recipients per msgs. but not limiting it in relate to disk space.
though you can configure max size of a msg or a session connection.
look at the message tab of the smtp server property page.
