Hotmail and Message Queue

| Hi,
I have IIS/SMTP on WindowsXP. I have no external domain (ie domain =
localhost.
I can send mail from a hotmail address to a smtp address and from a smtp
address
to a smtp address.
However, I cannot send from a smtp address to a hotmail address.
The mail goes to the root/queue directory and stays there. The event viewer
message" connection dropped by remote host". I presume the remote host is
reading
me as spam.
How do I get round this???
Thanks

| Hello,
Yes, they are probably considering you as a spam host. Send the emails
using a smart host, for example your ISP's SMTP server (if they allow it).

| And what does "no joy" mean? What is happening? What message do you get in
the event log this time? Did you try with a new email (that is, not
waiting for the emails already in the queue folder to leave this folder)?

| Hi,
I have found out the problem. If I shut down the frewall I use, Zonealarm,
and use Microsofts' own. The emails are sent to any service, including
hotmail..
Thank you for your help.
