Architecting a solution with MS SMTP for 30,000 e-mail recipients

| The solution needs to send 25 email messages to 30,000 e-mail recipients
(UNLV students) every hour or so. My concern is about limitations of MS
SMTP. Is there any limitations or considerations that I need to think
about when using MS SMTP for this kind of amount (30 thousands e-mail
recipients)? How should you architect this kind of solution?
Please feel free to forward this e-mail to anybody that you think might
know the answer.
