IIS and SMTP - cannot send email to address from only one server

Hi

the setup:

we rent a server from hosting company
we run w2003 virtual smtp server
we do not run dns

we host a site for a client on our box's iis
it's registrar points to our hoster's name servers
but that client has email elsewhere (choiceone)
so I setup MS record on hoster's name server to point there

Now everybody can reach those email addresses but our oun virtual
server!!!!!!!!
but it send emails fine to everybody else as well

what could be the problem
