IIS and SMTP - Default SMTP Mail Server

I have my exchange server running. There was a power blackout that made the
server shut down unexpectedly and unsafely.

When i re-started the server, it was fine except that the Default SMTP
Server will not start. Any attempts to stop and start the service is futile.

any ideas to restart this service?

Event log. Check it. Post it.
