CDOSYS with Lotus Domino failing because HELO doesn't have a domain

Dear All

We are trying to send an SMTP message directly to Lotus Domino using CDOSYS.
We are being told by the Domino admin that the message is being rejected
because CDOSYS is not sending the "domain" parameter that is required with
the HELO command.

I've searched all the MSDN documentation but cannot see how one configures
or sets the domain for the HELO command.

Help appreciated!
