SMTP on W2K/Pickup folder stopped working.

SMTP on our Windows 2000 SP 4 servers stopped processing email.

I tested it with a text file. It went no where. That was after a reboot
and restart of the SMTP service.

A removal and reinstall of SMTP fixed the issue currently.

The only change was installation of hotfix (security update) 908519. One
week later the server was rebooted. Then we started getting calls about
email not be processed.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or have an understanding what might
have occurred? It might be coincidence with the install of the 908519.

Any ideas for the post-mortem would be greatly appreciated!
