| Hi NG,
on a dedicated W2k3-mailrelayserver ist running the microsoft smtp-service
(without exchange), which forwarded all our mails to the smarthost of our
provider.
freqently delayed email-transfer, with the following entry in the
system-eventlog:
EVENT TYPE Warning
SOURCE smtpsvc
EVENT ID 4006
COMPUTERNAME XXX
TIME 25.10.2006 07:50:50
MESSAGE the mailtransfer to the host"(IP smarthost)" is to abort,
while transferred to the remotedomain "(reciever domain)". reason: the
connection was lost by the remote-host. (translated from german)
We´ve chanced to another mailserver by the provider. The problem is exact
the same. We´ve also change the w2k3-server to a w2k-workstation for
testing, the problem is also exact the same. The option "Direct transfer to
attempt, before sending to smarthost" (translated from german) is not
activated.
Can You help me, please?
