Hi there,

I'm trying to upgrade from IIS 5 to IIS 6 and "all is well".

Except for one thing:

How can I get IIS 5 news server messages/groups into IIS 6? I've been
searching
and all I can find is website stuff, but not news.

Got any idea?

This is usually done by establishing a pull feed from the new to the
old server. In your system folder (e.g. C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv)
you have a few VB scripts which help to set up a feed and do other
management tasks. Call them without params to get a usage print. For
setting up a feed use rfeed.vbs. However as you can read in my other
post I have trouble to get older articles over to my new server. So
this remains to be solved.

Hmm, I thought it would be easier than that. IIS 5 is no longer running.

Dang.

Oh, btw, I copied all content files into IIS 6 and selected "rebuild
server".

That seemed to work, that is, after I've got the anonymous access working
(see other thread), which I first blamed on something else...
