Hello,

This is an urgent issue for me. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a ASP based web application and it uses IIS 6.0 SMTP to send e-mails
out. This IIS server is not the mail server. Instead, I use the 'Smart host'
option in the SMTP property settings to specify the actual name of the mail
server (eg. mail.domain.com). I also have the 'Attempt direct delivery before
sending to smart host' and 'Perform reverse DNS lookup on incoming message'.

Things were working just fine after the first few days of the setup. A
couple of days ago, I started noticing 1000's of junk mails in the
C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue folder and that is bogging down the server
completely.

What can I do to block the spam?

Thanks,
Chacko.
