Inbound Agent problem

| I've got some problems with the default smtp connector in IIS - basically it
doesn't show within the IIS console and I therefore can not use it.
There is an error in the Event logs as follows:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Inbound Agent
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1
Date: 13/03/2006
Time: 10:41:18
User: N/A
Computer: DS2092
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 1 ) in Source ( Inbound Agent ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able
to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and
Support for details. The following information is part of the event:
MailEnable SMTP Service error: 10048, ME-F0083: Unable to bind to IP Address
((All)), Port (25), Error (10048). Could not start SMTP Connector. Check that
another SMTP Server is not running or security software has not prevented
access to the port.
Has that made sense? Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards,
James

| Further to this, we have got the smtp snap-in back into the iis mmc, but the
local ip address (127.x.x.x) still is not shown in the drop down box for
binding.
How do we get it fixed?
