Hello,

We have a domain (we'll say "abcd.com") and we created a connector for
each of our sub-companies in our Exchange 2000 server called ("efgh.com" and
"ijkl.com"). Our Exchange 2000 box has Windows 2000 Server for the OS.

We have an intranet application on a seperate domain server (Windows 2000
Server) which has a web page that allows someone from our Human Resources
department to send a greeting message to a new employee once he or she is
entered in the Intranet's database.

Our intranet in on a Windows 2000 server and we use the Virtual SMTP
Server to send out these greeting messages.

If these employees' e-mail addresses end in "abcd.com", which is our main
domain, they are able to receive it. If we try to send to "efgh.com" or
"ijkl.com", these messages remain in the "C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue" folder
in our Intranet box and we receive the following event in the Event Viewer:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: smtpsvc
Event Category: None
Event ID: 4000
Date: 6/9/2006
Time: 9:15:49 AM
User: N/A
Computer: KLD
Description:
Message delivery to the remote domain "efgh.com" failed for the following
reason: The connection was dropped by the remote host.

Data:
0000: d3 02 04 c0

New employees could be entered as "abcd.com" before a greeting message is
sent but then we would need to change it to either "efgh.com" or "ijkl.com"
afterwards which is a newsance for them.

Any help you can offer on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
