I just purchase my first dedicated server (IIS 6.0) from MaximumASP. I
have everything configured (web access/ftp/db access) but I can't get
SMTP configured so that I can send mail from ASPEmail, Aspmail or CDOSYS.

My account has 4 IP'S and I will be spreading around multiple domains
among those 4 IP's. Only my sites will be hosting on the server, so
others will not have access to the server.

I don't know where to start. I can set up a Virtual Server or a new
Domain. Is the domain type a "remote" or an "alias"?

Can everything run through the Default SMTP Virtual Server?

Based in KB articles from MaximumASP, I've limited Connection Control
and Relay Restrictions to just the 4 IP's on my account for the default
SMTP server.

What do I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This step is the
only thing keeping me from moving my sites over.

Are there any good resources out there (books, web sites, etc..) that
outline the proper way to configure the entire web server for web
access, FTP and SMTP? There seems to be more than one way to accomplish
the same thing.

Thanks

Brett
