| Indexing Server Gurus,
I've got a wierd error:
When I browse to a htw file. I get an error saying 'class not
registered'.
I can't find any resources on this?
My Environment is:
- Windows 2003 Standard Edition
- Indexing Server Component Installed
And I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with a mix of
iisresets...
Any ideas?
Regards
Angus Logan

| Hi!
Check "Indexing Service" in "Web service Extensions" must be allowed,
also
Check permissions on %SYSTEM32%\Webhits.DLL and IDQ.DLL, user which
Is specified in Identity in "Application Pools" for apropriate Web Site
(default users is Network Service)
and should have Read & Execute permission,...
I hope it help's!
By, Peter Pirc!

| Hi Peter,
Thanks for your help.
May I ask where you got this information from - finding resources on
indexing server is like pulling teeth.

| That's true!
Index Server documentation is poor, there are just a few examples,..!
This solution was my pure "research" (I had luck . But it's by design
in every Win 2003 server installation, and there's now KB article about
this!?
