Parameter is incorrect while search using browser

I have installed indexing services on SBS 2003 and setup web catalog for my
virtual site. When I try to use the sample search htm with .idq and .htx for
searching. Sometimes it return 'No documents found', sometimes it shows
'parameter not found' error. Anyone knows what is going on?
