we've been using the adobe ifilter 6.0 for a little while now and
everything is working for the most part. the pdf files are being
indexed and our search queries are returning results. however, i
noticed that the characterization can be quite random. occasionally it
will return the correct text (first few lines of the first page). more
often it will return the text in the footer of the file. so when the
results from the search are displayed, all the characterizations are
the same! looks really funny i must say and the clients aren't too
happy about either.

so anyway, is anyone else encountering a similiar problem? and if so,
any suggestions for a solution?
