When results are retreived from a asp search page I'm getting the results
from a page that was residing in a _vti_cnf directory within and FrontPage
web. I deleted and catalog a few times and did a full reindex and I still
get the page in the results page.
I also moved those files from the web and did a reindex and the pages are
still showing up. And to made things even stranger the link to the page has
the root of the website which when clicked on goes to page not found, of
course, because the page is not there.

the easy way to fix this is to right click on this directory and select
properties and advanced, and then uncheck the for fast search ... option.

I have found that after a certain period of time the setting returns to the
previous setting.
Thanks
