Configuring Word/Office IFilter?

| Hello everybody!
Is it possible to configure the Word/Office IFilter, so that it
indexes Word Files not by file extension, but by Document type?
I didnīt find an answer for this question, so i would be very pleased
if anyone could help me :/ ..
