Hi I'm just starting to look at index server and playing around I created a
new catalog with a local folder and a remote folder.
in each of these folder I created sub folders and added documnets. On my
local machine the subfolders were indexed but on the remote it only indexed
documnets at the root level and not the sub folders.
Is this normal behaviour?
Is there something I can do to force it to index sub folders on the remote
machine?

Cheers

It should index all sub directories/folders of the remote root as well. You
can right click on this folder in ciadv.msc and do a full rescan.

Do you know if the counters are accurate because the counters are only
counting the local documents If I go by the counters then I looks like none
of the remote stuff is indexed. Our remote folder does have quite a nest of
sub folders but it appears to be ignoring them all.
I have tried a All Tasks (Full Rescan)
Do you know if there is another way of finding out what it is doing other
than the msc which doesn't give much information.
