IIS Server 6.0 Catalog Maintenance
|

| Users keep reporting that searches against the IIS Catalog don't return
as
many results as expected.
Every few weeks I have been deleting the catalog and doing a rescan.
This
seems to put things straight for a while.
Is it normal to have to do this? If so is deleting the catalog overkill
or
will a rescan do ?
Can maintenence be scheduled to happen out of hours ?
Our Intranet site is quite dynamic, with pages being changed often, but
I
assumed that Index Server could cope with this ?
I have created some test documents and they apear in searches within a
minute of creation, so all seems OK at the moment ...

| This is abnormal. Check the event log for messages from cisvc about catalog
corruption.
