Author Restore catalog after corruption ?

Sometimes (about once a year) the catalog become corrupted.

Usully, I :
- stop the service cisvc ;
- delete the catalog folder ;
- and re-start the service cisvc, so IX re-indexes ALL the files.

But, now, I have about 70 000 files to index on remote shared folders : it's
spend a lot of time !

So, I'm asking to myself if it is possible to restore nigth backup of the
catalog folder.

Will the cisvc service will be able to find where to re-start the indexation
?

Is this operation reliable ?

Have you done it already ?

Thank you for your answers !

Jacques.

No, you can't backup and restore catalogs.
