| We are trying to work around a problem with our complex security requirements
and index services. We run a nightly job that resets all file permissions
and ownership in the indexed collection according to the required ACLs for 21
content groups. That job causes a full reindex to start. The full reindex
can get interrupted and occasionally corrupts the catalog. I want to make
the index service insensitive to the blanket file permission job.
I have tried pausing the catalog and resuming it, but it just goes into a
full rescan.
I have tested CiCatalogFlags with values 0, 1, 2 and 3 but the behavior
continues.
Is there any way to flush the file events queue or fake out the status so
the catalog would not perform a full rescan?
Did I miss something or is there not way around this full reindex behavior?
