Author Delivery Failure when using Delivery Confirmation

For certain external domains, we get the following error back when
delivery confirmation is enabled.

Subject: DELIVERY FAILURE: Enhanced Mail System Status Code
(RFC1893) : 2.0.0
Your message
Subject: [whatever]
Was not delivered to :
postmaster-01@sonnenschein.com
because
Enhanced Mail System Code (RFC1893) : 2.0.0

The message actually reaches the recipient, but we still get this
message. Has anyone ever seen this, or has any ideas on where the
problem may reside? We are running Exchange 2000 and Outlook XP.

Any help is appreciated.

The problem appears to be at the other server. they're reporting what
appears to be a successful delivery (2.0.0) with text that makes it
sound as if the delivery failed.
