Problem in downloading archive files in Weblogic 8.1 for Linux

Hi,
I am installing Weblogic 8.1 on Linux using the Net installer in GUI mode. When i reach the step of "Download Archive Files", i provide the correct IP address and Port No for my HTTP proxy but i still get the error message "The installation archive information could not be retrieved from BEA systems. Please check your download settings" .
Can anybody suggest a reason why this might be happening ?

Is there any way in which i can download the archive files separately and use them during the installation process ?
