We are in the process of setting up a new small business. To begin with it
is going to be VERY small - only two computers. There will probably be a
third added within 6 months or so.

There is an application that we intend to use that needs to work off of a
server with its clients. What is the best server software to start with? We
don't want to spend a great deal of money - from the research I've done, one
of the cheaper Dell PowerEdge servers is going to cost around $2200 with
tape drive backup and with Small Business Server.

Is that the best way to go? The business that I currently work in runs
Windows NT 2000, and I do know a little about it. I've never used Small
Business Server as an OS.

Obviously I am needing a crash course in networking a small business. Can
anyone out there help me? I would sure appreciate any input.

Thanks,

Barry
