A new client of mine has a site set up using Site Server.
The guy who set it up for them left the state, leaving
them no documentation, no notes, nothing. They want some
changes made to the site and I know nothing about Site
Server.

Can anyone point me to a site or book that will get me up
and running with Site Server in the shortest time/smallest
cost possible?

Initially, they need to change an email on the site. I've
looked through their site and it "looks" like there are
some default pages, but the bulk of the site is not
anywhere on the server that I can see. My guess is that
there is this big .dll file in the site directory and that
somehow the entire site is wrapped up in this .dll, but I
don't know how to get into it to edit the site.

Please help! or point me to somehere/one who can!

Thank you so much!

Change what email? Some email settings are configured in the admin pages or
through the MMC snap-ins. Typically the Site Server Admin pages are at
http:// your server/siteserver/admin

He/She is right, look in the admin pages and poke around for SMTP
settings - I'd like to be of more help but I'm also just getting thrown
into Site Server 3.0.

into Site Server 3.0 but your problem sounds like a dynamic problem vice
a static problem.
