Upgrading the MDAC

We are running a Site Server version 3.0 primarilly using
the weach functionallity. We want to install SQL Server
2000 Enterprise Reporting Services on to this Server but
the current MDAC version is 2.5 sp 3 and RS needs at
leaset 2.6 or greater. Can I upgrade the MDAC to the
current version without impaction the Site Server
functionallity?
