| Hello to whom might read this...
I have been looking for a way to host my own web site from out of my home.
I have heard there is a way of doing so with use of certian server programs.
I have the server and the bandwith speed to run a web site off of my server
system.
I was wondering if any of you knew where a hosting program might be found
for a windows OS.
Thanks for the help!

| Josh,
What you need to do is this. If you are running Windows XP Pro. There is a
built in web server. You need to look in the help files to see how to set it
up and make it active for hosting your website. If your going to use a domain
name like koolkat.com you need to use a dns hosting service like tzo.com.
They will help you resolve your domain to your dynamic or static IP address.
You can test your web site by giving your friends your outside IP address and
you will need to configure your router to point port 80 to your desktop
machine.
You don't need fancy equipment to run a web server. You have one already. If
you need more infor contact me back.
