Site Server General - Joining Domain

I have a domain controller I also have to servers that are in a workgroup
that I want to join the domain. the problem is if the applications that are
on the server ( it also has licensing the workstations ) don't work after I
have them join the domain, can I set these servers back to the workgroup they
were originally in without problems.
