Exclude parts of page from search
|
|
|
| Hi
I've inherited a Corporate Intranet site that is built using a mixture of
tools (including FrontPage sites containing frames and MSCMS 2001) using Site
Server Search to provide search capability. I am having an issue that the
users are complaining about and I wondered if someone could help.
I have two questions:
- As I have no documentation and MS has shut down the documentation on Site
Server, does anybody know of any good sites containing administator
resources/guides (note, we're only using the search function). I can't find
anything out ther.
- My specific issue is that I need to exclude parts of each page from the
crawler. Specifically, the navigation is showing up causing spurious results
when search words appear in the nav, regardless of whether the page is
related or not.
We are going to be replacing all of the technology with other/updated
technology, I am just trying to keep it limping along.
Thanks
James
