Hi,
Our customer experiences a random popup of login boxes when in edit
mode (administrator account). I'm not sure it's directly related to
CMS but thought I'd start here as I've seen other people report
similar such incidents here. I found responses such as 'not being able
to connect to the domain controller', is this solution still valid - I
mean no alternate suggestions have come up in the meantime?. I'd of
course like to hear from people who had the problem but has found a
way to solve it. If it indeed is the domain controller - were would be
the appropriate group to continue in - that is if anyone here do not
know the most common errors constiting this error ?

Best regards

Hi BC,

only a network monitor trace could proof if this is really a domain
controller issue.
Microsoft Support would be able to provide you with the necessary
troubleshooting steps.

Cheers,
Stefan.

Hi Brian,

Do you know what URL is being requested that is triggering the login dialog
box?

Possibly get them to enter invalid credentials into it until the popups
stop; then check the IIS logs for access denied error codes...

Regards

Tnx for all Your help.

- Just requested a network trace be setup in order to debug.

- Wrt. URL I will try to gather more info, but until now there seems
to be no connection at all other than it seems centered around
creating, saving and editing pages in CMS.

- I do not know this for a fact but the login boxes I have seen and
tried to fiddle with will result in somekind of a access denied page.
Don't know if this points to anyting?!

I will report back with my findings when the trace is concluded and
more info is gathered.

Best regards
Brian Christensen
