Author Comexception accessing the approval assistant

Hi all,

I keep receiving the error below when I try to access the approval
assistant.

Some notes:
- I am logged in as an administrator
- The prodecution manager etc. are working correctly
- The problem seamed to appear suddenly (no changes were made to the servers
configuration)

I'am at a loss here, does any one have a clue.

Sorry - KB 828278 only applies to CMS 2002 SP1

I tried both of these, I went as far as giving the accounts involved
(aspnet, iwam and the cms system account) admin rights (and removed them
again) but still nothing.

I have tried this hotfix, I had some trouble running it but now I finally
did and it didn't resolve te problem.
Any idea??

Hi Patrick,

the stack below seems to be identical as the stack of the problem being
fixed with this hotfix.
So I would assume that this will solve the problem.

What kind of problems did you have when installing?
Maybe the fix did not get correctly installed.

Its not asked for by the installer but I have restarted the IIS process,
that didn't help. As for restarting the server I cannot try that right now
since people are working on the box.
