CMS Links not managed inside XML Placeholder
|

| Hello,
we encounter a strange thing in our CMS SP1a installation. We use a XML
Placeholder. If an editor enters internal links, MCMS does not transfer them
into internal CMS links and leaves them in clear text values (results in
broken links after move of pages). If I do the same as admin or as
channelmanager, the links are transferred into CMS links perfectly. Is there
something I do not get? ManageCMSlinks in the placeholder definition is
enabled and the links are stored inside "".
Thanks a lot,
Dominik

| Hi Dominik,
this can happen if the author does not have rights on the destination
channel where the links point to.
Is this the case?
Cheers,
Stefan.

| Hi Stefan,
He has at least subscriber rights on the channel/posting. However as far as
I remember he had authoring rights on the target channel / posting, too.
Does he have to have authoring rights on the destination channel?
Thanks a lot,
Cheers,
Dominik

| To help me with error search: What can cause this problem besides the issues
with having rights on the destination channel? Are there any common things
that can cause such a behaviour?
Thanks a lot,
Dominik

| Just another info: We cant reproduce this behaviour on the development
stations. It seems it only occurs on our productive server. We there get very
often the "overlapped save" issue. Could this cause the link problem, too?

| Update: We applied the hotfix to our servers and it seems it solved the
problem Very happy about that! However we will test further on...
Thanks a lot for your great support,
Dominik
