Hi everyone,

I have had no trouble implementing the forms authentication for a
manual login page detailed in the Woodgrove sample site. It all
authenticates and allow me in and allows me to logout.

However, it always directs me when i hit the website to the forms
page. As i say if i login it's fine but i want it to allow anon
access as subscriber (read only)

Settings are as follows:

SCA guest enabled and set to a subscriber (but have tried and admin)
Anon in IIS enabled - tried IUSR_ credentials and cms credentials.

All code is the same as woodgrove, there is no web config in root but
in mcms app it has forms turned on and i have tried allowing all
users, allowing specific accounts mentioned earlier and removeing it
completely - still it always propmts me.

Can anyone think of anything?

Many thanks in anticipation

Hi,

Have you assigned the IUSR_ to a subscriber role that can see the specified
channels?

Regards

Hi Jason,

you need to ensure that:
- anonymous access is enabled and working in IIS (check with html file if
this can be retrieved without credentials. Check in IIS log)
- guest needs to be enabled in SCA
- a guest account needs to be defined in SCA
- the guest account needs to be added to a subscriber users group
- the subscribers user group containing the guest account needs to be
assigned to all channels, resource galleries and template galleries the
guest should be allowed to view.

Cheers,
Stefan.
