Hi all,

I'm experiencing a similar problem to the one described in the Google
article posted at

http://groups.google.ca/groups?hl=e...P10.phx.gbl%26r
num%3D2

and I am hoping someone could lend me a hand by telling me what
permissions had to be changed. I have gone so far as to give Everyone
full control access on the "Program Files\Microsoft Content Management
Server" directory and netscape 6.2 still won't render my images. When
I look at the IIS log, the response being shown is 401, and the path
being accessed is "/NR/rdonlyres/0AC1B322-1182-4A62-B0C6-E6DAB2E86998/0/smallFlowers002.jpg".
Everything works fine in IE with the same path.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

JohnW

Hi Wardy,

most likely you did not configure basic authentication in IIS.
Afaik netscape is still not able to handle NTLM and kerberos authentication.
Only basic.

Cheers,
Stefan.

Hi Stefan,

Thanks....turns out about 30 mins after I posted I discovered the
problem. As you suspected, it was basic authentication. I had it
enabled on one site but turns out I also had to enable it on the NR
directory created by CMS.

Thanks,

JohnW
