Stefan:

My CMS site's home page consists of one html placeholder and 4 image
placeholders. My web.config is set to windows authentication.

So when I log on to the site, I get the windows dialog, which is good. I
enter my credentials and it the site starts to appear. As the page is being
displayed, I am presented with another Windows dialogue. I enter my
credentials and I'm presented with another Windows dialogue. This process
continues 9 more times!

Finally, I am not presented with any more Windows dialogue and my site
apperas except my image placeholders are not empty. Also, my windows account
is locked!

Can you advise as to what to look for.

Also, is their any harm in deleting the physical files from rdonlyres
folder. I ask this because after I clear the cache using the SCA tool I
notice the physical files are still there?

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom,

looks like your user account does not have rights to the images.
I assume these images reside in a resource gallery and your user is not
assigned to this resource gallery.

Cheers,
Stefan.

Stefan:

The images do reside in the resource gallery and the user is assigned to the
resource gallery. So I'm at a lost as to why I am being prompted 9
additional times for these 5 images.

Since my development database has been restored from the production
environment (different domain) usingSQLServer backup/restore, do you suggest
I re-import the images using Resoure Gallery? Would this do anything?

What else can I try?

The user has the necesaary permissions? I checked twice. As it stands now,
only an Administrator can access the site with only one login. I really
don't want to make all users Admins!

Hi Tom,

please enter the resource URL directly in the browser and check if you get
access with these credentials.
If not: then this user is most likely not assigned to this resource gallery.
Otherwise you would get access.

Cheers,
Stefan.
