Is there any harm in deleting the physical files from the rdonlyres folder.
I ask this because after I clear the cache using the SCA tool I notice the
physical files are still there?

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom,

yes. Deleting these files will ensure that all the cached items will show up
as broken links on your web site.
The button in the SCA says: Clear Memory Cache and not Clear Disk Cache!

To savely clear the disk cache you need to stop and restart MCMS.
So do these steps:

- IISRESET /STOP
- net stop AESecurityService
.... now delete all remaining items from the rdonlyres directory
- net start AESecurityService
- IISRESET /START

Cheers,
Stefan.
