Author Copying and reapproving content

When I copy postings from one channel to another (either through site
manager or by creating a connected/new posting through code) these postings
need to be approved. However, when I approve this posting, the current saved
version is approved, though a different version might have been approved on
the original posting.

Is there any way to retain the original postings published version, rather
than approving the current saved version?

cheers,

Paul

Hi Paul,

You could write a script that generates new postings in the destination
channel with the version you like. But if you copy the items with the copy
method this will not work.

Cheers,
Stefa.
