Hi,

We have run into an issue with internal site links.

Using the browse button and internal tree to select a
posting the URL displayed in the selected link box is
correct. After clicking ok the hyperlink address in the
edit hyperlink window is incorrect - it shows only part of
the top channel name in the format of
http://servername/parttopchannelname/channel/posting (ie
if the URL should be
http://myserver/myserver.company.co...+us/general.htm
the URL that shows is
http://myserver/.company.com/about+us/general.htm).

Linking to internal pages that are not yet published works
as the URL is /NR/exeres/AC etc.

This happens on all internal links created and isn't
affected by the user's role.

Our setup is CMS 2002 sp1a with map channel names turned
on.

Has anyone come accross this or have any ideas?

Hi Nik,

sounds like a bug.
Please try if the following hotfix solves the problem: 838917

Cheers
Stefan.

Thanks I'll give it a try.

Where would I find this hotfix? Nothing was returned when
I searched for it on the Microsoft site.

Hi Nik,

you need to open a (free of charge) service request with Microsoft.

Cheers,
Stefan
