Author Block public user from admin function

I have a channel which mainly for administrator use. I want to block it from
public user. If I have already login as an administrator, the posting under
this channel display properly.

But when I have not login, the login form would display instead. But what I
want is public user would not see this login form page. What can I do to
achieve this ?

One suggestion is that I write a aspx file to handle. Each time someone
navigator the administrator channel, the aspx file would execute first to
check whether current user has right to do this. This is a good solution I
think but it would make the public user know there is a channel exist. The
best outcome would be a 404 error. Is it possible to do it ?

Thx

Hi Tony,

there is nothing you could do to achieve this from MCMS side.
In IIS you could implement an ISAPI filter that changes the response sent to
the client.
But why is this a problem? Usually other users would not know that there is
such an admin channel.

Cheers,
Stefan.
