How to develop polls, mailing list, newsletter, newsgroups in CMS?

Which is the simplest way to add polls, mailing list, newsletter, newsgroups
etc. in a MCMS 2002 site?
Should i adopt a custom .net development (is it much time spending
approach?) or i could use wss connector?

Note that i cannot integrate with commerce serve?

Could you explain me the simplest way?
