CMS2002 and SQL2005
|
|
|
| I installed SQL2005 and VS2005 on windows2003. I could also manage ro install
CMS2002(with sp1a) on this box. I imported CMSDB onto SQl2005. Now I am
trying to configure CMS - DCA, but I am getting an error saying SQL-Client
tools not installed.
Any ideas on how to configure CMS2002 to an existing CMSDB on SQL2005?

| Hi Murty,
I didn't think that setup was supported / would work.
Just out of interest - do you have the SQL 2000 client tools installed?
Regards

| I do not have SQL2000 client tools installed on the machine. But I have
SQL2005 client tools installed on the box. I am trying to do a CMS solution
with VS2005 SQL2005.

| Hi Murty,
that is not possible.
VS.NET 2005 and ASP.NET 2.0 do not yet work with MCMS 2002.
Also MCMS does not yet support SQL 2005.
The product team is currently evaluating the question if support for these
products will be added.
Cheers,
Stefan
