Author Removing old CMS content?

I was wondering how one controls the storage volume for CMS2002? As users
make updates the old versions are kept. After a period of time it would make
sense to remove the old stuff. What are the archive options available for
CMS2002? Are there tools available or must a custom solution be made?

Thanks

Bill
