Permission Denied message requiring reboot
|

| Stefan,
Your help has been invaluable; thanks a lot! I have another question.
Over the past 2-3 weeks that I've been working on this MCMS project,
IIS has been acting up. Occasionally I will get an error message
saying Permission Denied on one of the references in my project. (The
error message is on the line trying to add assembly "*") The only
solution I've found is to reboot my computer. *Sometimes* I can run
IISReset, and aspnet_regiis -i, and restart IIS, and it will fix
itself.. but not usually. Sometimes this will only happen every few
hours; sometimes it happens ever 2 or 3 times I build my project.
Have you ever heard of anything like this? I can't seem to find
anything relevant online.
I also tried removing the references from my project that seemed to be
causing trouble; however when everything was removed, I was getting
permission denied on my actual project name, so I don't think it has
anything to do with my references.
Thanks again for your time.
Mike

| Hi Mike,
I have never seen this problem before.
No idea what might cause this.
Sorry!
If the problem remains you might consider to open a support case.
But as it is not a permanent problem it might be a problem with internal
windows resources running out.
Do you have enough memory in this box?
Cheers,
Stefan.
